Last week of the year

Daddy has taken Cups to work on federal holidays, so both Daddy and Mama have had more holidays to use up than usual at the end of the year.  Daddy worked on Friday; otherwise we've been home the whole week.  Mama actually looked good in the picture.  This must have been a good day because Mama had been sick and lounging around the house most of the week.  For a treat we stopped by Boba Express, which has this plum drink that was exactly the flavor of Mama's favorite growing up in Taiwan.

Anni didn't want to be held all the time.  She's in the exploring phase.  Cups, you can hold Gofres all you want in a couple weeks, haha.  It was great visiting with you, Uncle Scott, Auntie Brooke, Kellan and Anni!  Thank you for making time!!. 

Christmas dinner

Uncle Michael and Auntie Penny had us over for dinner.  This is the first time we've celebrated with Ahgong and Ahma in a long time.

Christmas Day

 Cups plugged in the electric aquarium that she got from the kids' white elephant exchange.  She really liked it.

She embarked on the project of putting sparkly stickers to make a fairie picture.  Mama was surprised that she hung in there until almost 100 pieces of individually numbered stickers were all placed in the frame.

It was beautiful when it was done.  Thank you very much, Auntie Sindy!  Cups loved the lip glosses, too!

Cups opened and played with the doll set from Auntie Lisa.  While Mama helped Cups, she was brought back to when she was about 10 in Taiwan, playing with this type of toys - so weird.

 Gae got Cups a Christmas present, the game of Dog Doo.  (Uhhh. . .Don, did you want any credit for the gift?)

Little Princess

Thank you very much for the princess chest filled with princess dresses and jewelry.  Cups LOVED the present!  (She doesn't have any dress up princess outfits, so it was that extra special for her.)

In November. . .

Merry Go Round

The day after Thanksgiving Daddy had the day off.  Cups went to work with Mama, and Daddy joined us for lunch.  After lunch we asked Cups whether she'd like a bubble tea or two rides on the merry go round.  She had a great time!

We visited with Auntie Boo briefly before we had lunch the day after Thanksgiving.

Art project

Cups can often be found creating art projects.  This time she decorated the box that held the materials for the princess wand.

Cookie exchanges

Mama dipped Oreos in chocolate for her and Daddy's cookie exchanges at work.  Cups helped package them first thing in the morning and brought some for her hygienist (who was super happy to receive and Mama was impressed that Cups thought of her), Nolan and teacher Jessica.

Cups did not open her birthday present all at once after unwrapping them.  This evening she decorated a princess wand and enjoyed holiday cookies from Melissa, our neighbor.

Gae read to Cups the book that she and Don got for Cups' birthday while Mama picked up pizzas.

Cups is turning five in January.  We had the birthday celebration early because Mama was not able to anticipate the condition that she'd be in around the time of Gofres' arrival.

Uncle Eric and Don were most kind for playing with Cups after dinner.

Most people could not make it.  We still had a great time.

Mama opted for the no mess method of getting Cups' cake with a Groupon.

Cups picked the flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and lemon.  She put decorative toothpicks in them.

Girls decorated tiaras with sparkly stickers.

Boys put together cardboard race cars and decorates them with stickers.  Mama was thankful that Nolan's mom, Molly, stayed to help.
