Gofres had his first bath about nine hours after birth. The hospital now has a rule for babies to not be bathed for at least six hours after birth - because the coating on their skin can help fight off infections. However, the coating can be a little stinky as well - as Cups can be a witness. However, the delay of the birth gave Mama and baby plenty of skin to skin bonding time.
