I waited two hours in Couiza for the bus before I started to worry. I had forgotten to ask about the return trip. It was a Sunday. What if there were no buses. I couldn't afford to pay for an hour of taxi! I was sleepy eight hours after I had arrived in Couiza earlier that day. What if the bus had passed while I had closed my eyes for a second? Desperate, I asked the bar owner. He told me another 20 minutes. I must have waited for another 50. I was so tired from the stress that someone could have taken everything I owned, and I wouldn't have known.
Luckily Carcasssonne was the last stop, so I got off with everyone else. By the time we got to town, it was about 6 pm. Everything had closed shop. McD was open, so I had dinner there. I also stopped by the grocery store to get some fruit and water. I finally splurged on a Sudoku book for my long wait at the train station. I was well entertained until 11:41 pm.
The train did not arrive until 11:41 pm. Then everyone at the station ran to the platform. I asked an old couple, there to see someone off, "A Paris?" They told me yes and to hurry. I ran. I was still running to find my car when the whistle was blown. They told me to get on and walk to my car.

Yes, Evelyne had me check in with her every night to let her know that I was still alive. :)
